Who I am:
I am a team effectiveness coach and facilitator with a mission to support the vitality and effectiveness of organizations and partnerships in the San Francisco Bay Region and beyond.
I have 20 + years experience in non-profit and public-sector leadership with a focus on creating, supporting, guiding, and growing successful teams and spearheading important community initiatives. I help innovators, game-changers, and community-stewards who care deeply about the quality of their work relationships; who know there's more that their team (or teams) could accomplish in the world if they had more support.

THE HIGH COST OF BAD MEETINGS
Studies show that in the U.S. organizations waste tens of thousands of hours per year in meetings. In a recent survey in Industry Week, 2000 managers claimed that at least 30 percent of their time spent in meetings is wasted, and in another, when asked what is the biggest time-waster was in their job, 70% of employees answered ‘meetings.’
Many meetings simply shouldn’t be held at all. (I always test first to see when a meeting is NOT needed.)
Today there's a new consciousness emerging about what works - and doesn't - to support peoples' effectiveness at work. Time blocking, 'no meeting' Wednesdays, and stand up meetings are all a part of this...
Not only do poor meetings waste a tremendous amount of an organization's time and resources, they bring down team morale and have huge opportunity costs.
